Obituary for Murline Mallette

MALLETTE: Murline - It is with deep sadness that the Mallette and Kendal family share the passing of Murline. She passed away peacefully at home with her family surrounding her on Friday, March 12th 2021 at 5:05 pm. Murline was the daughter of Earline and Murdock MacDonald. Murline is survived by her husband Eugene, children Nicole, Jason, Cathy and John and grandchildren Jaimi-Lee and Jennifer. Murline will be terribly missed by many of her friends and their lifelong friendships. Murline married the love of her life Eugene and they had 57 wonderful years together, making memories to last a lifetime sharing in laughter and tears throughout their wonderful journey of life. Murline was the Owner and Director of the Liaison College School of Culinary Arts, Hamilton Campus for over 18+ years and she was so proud to be a part of the many students who passed through those doors in search of a passion for food and their culinary career choice. With her office door always open, Murline always shared her guidance and wisdom to her students in achieving their culinary dream. Throughout Murline’s years she loved the theatre and was active as an actress for over 40 years at the Hamilton Guild and as well as performed with the group “The Geritol Follies” for many years. Through her time in the theatre, Murline would take centre stage and create a character everyone could relate to. She had the ability through her many characters she played, to allow the audience to laugh and cry with her in her performances.
MOM: You showed me the way to Love. That Love meant compromise and understanding, patience and respect. The lessons you had taught me, the space you gave me to grow and the understanding to know that the person I am today is because you loved me. You were my voice of compassion and strength, courage and conviction and your love for me had no boundaries. I only hope that I have and will continue to make you proud. I look forward to continuing our “conversations of life” when I meet you in my dreams. An excerpt from a Poem written by Suzanne Reynolds: She Was Beautiful…
“She lived her life with a loving and generous heart,
had wrapped her arms around so many to give comfort and peace.
Her ears had heard both terrible news and lovely songs,
and her eyes had brimmed with, oh so many tears, they were now bright even as they dimmed.
She had lived and she was.
And because she was,
She was made Beautiful”
My heart aches, my tears flow and my smile not so wide. I miss you terribly mom. I love you.
Love Nicole XO

MOM: The world is a much poorer place with my mom’s absence. She was a great lady, accomplished so much, influenced thousands of people and students. She taught me many things and I cherish every lesson. My mom and I spent a lot of time together when I was younger and I enjoyed the time I spent with her as an adult. We became friends but she was always my mom. I miss my mom greatly and I still can’t believe she is gone. I love you mom, I miss you so much.
Hug and kiss, See you in the afterlife.
Love Jason XO
