MARCELLA: Joseph Robinson - It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the sudden loss of our beloved Joe, of Simcoe, on Tuesday March 22, 2022 in his 37th year. He will be forever loved and remembered by parents Kathryn Thompkins and John Marcella, sister Meg Marcella (Cole Dredge), and nephew Henry. Predeceased by loving aunt Joanne Stevenson, uncles Michael Marcella, Keith Stevenson, Ted McCreary and Christopher Thompkins, and grandparents Mario (John) and Leone Marcella, Richard Thompkins and Margaret Carruthers. He will be remembered and loved by aunts Marie McCreary, Shelley Martin, uncles Rick Thompkins (Nancy) and Phillip (Angela) Thompkins, along with Joe's many cousins. Joe was a lifelong fisherman, and from the time he was very young, could often be found somewhere along the edge of Young's Creek, or down at the pier in Port Ryerse, almost always reeling something in. He had a particular love of the outdoors and nature, with many fond memories of camping in Algonquin with family. As a deep thinker and keen observer of nearly everything, Joe was able to find beauty in the smallest detail, a plant, an animal, a song lyric (his love of music cannot go unsaid). This was one of his best qualities, along with his sharp mind, and a quick-witted sense of humour, always at the ready. Joe was passionate about many things, a deeply caring and sentimental person, and treasured his time with family above all. Although he has gone much too soon, he will be loved fiercely and missed deeply, by those who hold him in their hearts. Cremation has taken place.
