Obituary for John Tkach

TKACH: John Michael- It is with very sad hearts that we announce the sudden passing on Friday, December 10, 2021, of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend of many. Survived by his parents John and Mary Tkach, his brother Paul (Lisa) and his Uncle Frank (Barb). Special son-in-law to Walt and Carole Hoover and their family Randy (Sharon), Sandy (Jim), Jim (Debbie) and many nieces and nephews. Leaving behind his very patient, loving, selfless, strong best friend and wife Suzanne. After 34 years of marriage John and Suzanne had a love like no other that really was the best friendship you could ever want in a partner. She will miss everything about him especially his ability to always make her laugh which was the glue to their love. Most of all John excelled at being an amazing father to his three kids Connor, Mackenzie, and Justine whom he is and will always be so proud of. He was always there if you needed him, with his loving quirky ways, and infinite hugs. He was very lucky to leave his kids in the great hands of Rachel, Justin and Jarred whom he loved like his own. John was one of a kind, and such a large part of the Townsend/Jarvis community. Whenever you walked into Just John’s or his own kitchen you were greeted with his wonderful smile and treated like family- always embracing the Cheers lifestyle. He loved his golf and spending his summer days rain or shine with his best friends and family. He lived to make people happy, and if you saw him walking around in a yellow life jacket you just didn’t question it because that was ‘Just John’, but instead you slowly noticed your day getting a little bit brighter. There really are no words to describe how much we will miss you John, there will forever be a large hole in a lot of people’s hearts and lives. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. SERENITY BURIAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 361 Main Street Port Dover (226) 290-9093 have been entrusted with the arrangements. A celebration of John’s life will take place in 2022.
