HUNTER: James Charles- Peacefully at Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in his 87th year. Predeceased by his parents James and Catharine Hunter. Beloved husband for 44 years of the late Diane (Ingram) Hunter. Loving father of James (Barbara) Hunter, Dorothy (Steve) Collis and Robert (Trish Connors) Hunter. Cherished grandfather of Jesse, Stephanie, Stephen, Alex, Ryan and 12 great-grandchildren. Also remembered by his many brothers and sisters. Born and raised in Hamilton, James was one of 10 brothers and sisters. Growing up during the Depression he was forced to work at a very young age to help provide for his family. He worked many different jobs and finally found his calling as a meat cutter working most of his career at Safeway Canada. He moved his family to Port Dover in 1977 where he eventually retired in the 1997. He loved to walk his dogs daily in Silver Lake Park well into his 87th year. Tyrone and James were fixtures in the park. As per James’s wishes cremation has taken place.
