CORBETT: Geraldine- Passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020 in her 81st year. She was born in Sarnia Ontario to Irene and Leroy Barnes. She was one of 10 children. Dear sister to Dorothy, Vivian, Don, Ron, Terry, Gerald, Raymond, Robert, and Wayne. Geraldine was a hard working mother of 7 children. Vonda Ayotte (Allen), Molly Ryan, Wendy Eastabrook, Sherry Edgar, Chris Silva (Filipe), Karen Lyon, and Kevin Lyon. A grandmother of 14 and several great grandchildren. She raised her children with the idea that the outdoor adventure was what made life worth living. We regularly went camping, boating, fishing, canoeing, swimming, and did many other outdoor activities. She also fostered our love of horses, which from a young age quickly became our biggest passion of all. She was a very industrious woman who taught us how to live off the land. Canning as much as 2000 qts. of food, raising and "processing" chickens and turkeys. Also raising a pig and a steer every year. She taught us the meaning of hard work! She continued to take on adventures even in her older years, learning to ride a horse and snowmobile in her sixties!
