Jones : Barbara Ann (nee Spencer) - Passed peacefully Monday, November 16, 2020 at the West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville in her 86th year. Barb was cherished and will be lovingly remembered by her husband Douglas of over 63 years. Dear mother of Michael, Arthur (Robin), Denise, and Susan (Glenn). Loving grandmother to Amanda (Matt), Kaitlynn (Matt), Colin (Daru), Ethan (Samantha), Andrew, Aaron (Jamie), Grace, & Jacob, great grandchildren Lorelai, Gavin, Jake, Ivy, Aidan, and Tessa. Survived by her sister-in-law Marion (Jim), Auntie Barb will be dearly missed by Patty, Cathie, Donna as well as many other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Hilda (Singleton) Spencer, her sister Dorothea (Stan), and brothers Jack (Margaret), Bill (Carol), Keith, & Jim. Born in Hamilton Ontario, Barb was a woman of many talents. Whether baking, or sewing, or lending a listening ear; her loving nature, calm demeanour, and endless selflessness lent to her affectionately being referred to as ‘Mum’ by everyone (most notably the Breakfast Club boys). Her crafting and sewing knew no limits. From Christmas pyjamas (even though the head-hole never fit), Bridal wear (everything from epic hats and gowns to the ever lengthening flower girl dress), and years of Dance costumes (Gotta Dance), to more intricate needlepoint, knitting, cross-stitch and the treasured quilts made on her handcrafted rack - all patiently assisted by Doug. Always with multiple projects on the go, though she may have been sitting, she was never still. Her hands were forever busy creating masterpieces and passing along all her trade secrets to anyone who showed interest. Cremation has taken place.
