COATES: Larry Albert Richard- A lifelong Simcoe resident, Larry passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, June 30, 2023, in his 80th year. Predeceased by his parents Clayton Coates and June Mussel. Beloved husband of 59 years to Doris. Loving father of Kim (Herb) Borchardt, Lori Watson, Tammy (Dean) Easton. Grandfather of Adam (Julie), Andrew (Gloria), Tyler (Emily), Bethany, Chloe, Eli, and Caleb. Cherished brother of Linda (late Gord) Cormack, Laraine (Dave) Gates, Gloria (Ken) Lever, Rosemary Lamb, and Christine Cameron. Brother-in-law to Len (late Diane, late Karon) Earls, Jack (Penny) Earls, Irene (Bill) Wardell, Barb Yule (late Murray Earls), Rick (Fran) Earls, Dianne (late Bill, late Garry Peat) Needham, Bill (Debbie) Earls, Jerry (Jean) Earls, late Carl and late Ruth Anne Earls. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A retired Stelco worker of 30 years with a passion for vintage cars and a perfectly manicured lawn, he will be missed by his many “billiard buddies,” neighbours, and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Branch # 79 of the Royal Canadian Legion, 200 West Street, Simcoe on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 1:00 till 4:00 pm.
